Hello, my name is Chad Williams and I am the founder of AnthroPhysique Online Coaching.

To me, fitness is a Lifestyle. My definition of fitness is that I have the physical capacity to do whatever I want any time I want. I train the way I train and eat the way I eat so that I can remain healthy and enjoy life. If I want to go camping, hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, cycling, play volleyball or even climb a mountain, I can. I never have to worry about whether or not I can keep up or how sore I’m going to be the next day.

My vision of health is life long. Everything I do for exercise and nutrition is based on sustaining a high quality of life for the rest of my life. I’m not into fad diets or fitness trends because their purpose is too short term. I’m not willing to sacrifice part of my health for a short term physique change, which is what all fads tend to do.

I’ve been coaching professionally in the fitness industry for over 15 years and have worked with hundreds of clients. I’ve been a personal trainer, manager at a Gold’s gym, had my own CrossFit gym for 4 years, have been an online coach for over 6 years and have now started a new fitness franchise in Guadalajara Mexico.

My passion is bringing health and fitness to the world through the best methods possible.

What I’ve learned over the 15 years of working with clients in groups, 1-on-1 and online is that to truly help someone be successful with their health and fitness goals I need to empower them to take change and be responsible for their own health. There are so many options these days focused on quick results, high intensity programs and external motivation yet people still aren’t getting lasting results.

The approach I take with my own health is the same approach I take with clients. I’m not here for short term success and long term failure. I’m in it for the long haul. Any program and plan I create is one that will create a strong body, that functions well and looks great. This often means starting slower than some people might expect or want, but it’s so I can build or re-build a foundation upon which we can build your goal body.

One of my beliefs is that motivation is bullshit. Hiring a trainer because you need motivation is a complete waste of money. The reason it’s a waste of money is because what ends up happening is that the trainer that has the motivation, not you. In the end, you never develop your own motivation and if you stop working with a trainer, you stop working all together. It’s actually the reason I stopped personal training.

Through my method of online coaching, I’m never looking to motivate my clients. Instead, I focus on holding them accountable to their OWN goals. I uphold YOU to stick to what YOU said you wanted.

What I’ve experienced with this method is that it’s actually harder. It’s harder because we’re not pretending you’re motivated or skipping steps to reach your goal, we’re actually putting in hard work over a long period of time to make you self reliant. It can be a long hard road, but it’s the ONLY THING I’ve found that creates long lasting results. (aka, results that last beyond our work together)

But really, why would it be easy? If it was easy, and if the other methods worked, you would have already reached your goal and you wouldn’t be reading the words on this page. You’re here because you’ve tried the other methods, you know they don’t work and you know what I’m saying is true. If not, you’ll leave this page, find something else, and then come back in 1-5 years when it still didn’t work and realized I was right in the first place. (I’ve actually worked with clients that did this)

Working with me requires that you’re at this point. You need to know that lasting results takes hard work and patience. You need to put in a consistent effort over a long period of time if you want changes that will stick. Yes it means that you’ll work with me for 2 or more years, but if and when we stop you’ll know it’s because you are now fully ready to remain active and healthy for the rest of your life. You will have built a healthy lifestyle.

Obviously I’m biased, but a few years of effort to create change that lasts the rest of your life sounds worth it to me!

I only work with people that are committed to put in the work. Everyone is excited and highly motivated at some point, and that’s usually when they sign up. However, that initial motivation always fades. I want to work with someone who is willing to get real with what it really takes to reach your goals. Someone that knows that it may take longer than you planned and it will for sure have some setbacks or unexpected turns come up. Someone who is ready to once and for all push through the struggle and truly pursue the bigger picture vision of their health.

I have always been an active person, gone to the gym regularly, eaten healthily and generally taken care of myself, yet I have always struggled with my weight.  While pregnant with my son, I gained 40 pounds, which on top of the few too many I was carrying before getting pregnant, put me at a weight which I was not only uncomfortable with, but put me at risk of health issues.  I was faced with the challenge of fitting back into the uniform I had been wearing, or (gulp) ordering the bigger size. Ok, first I want to say thank you! Your words are very encouraging. Having someone I can contact on a daily basis is great. I understand about planning ahead, and I did try to do that some, and I’ll probably do my other squats/sit-ups/push ups on the coldest day.
