Getting started… the hardest part.

We all know the drill… “I’ll start on Monday”… “I’ll start when I have money for a gym membership”… “I’ll start tomorrow”… “I need new running shoes”.

Getting started is the hardest part of any good habit, but your health is so darn important that when it comes down to it, we should just START. I’ve always been an all or nothing type of gal. Either I’m on the wagon or off the wagon, but the older I get the more I realize the importance of just doing something, anything, to enrich your health every day. Why not take the stairs today, or do 10 squats before jumping into the shower, maybe even STARTING your fitness regime today. Why is it so hard? Is it because we think the little things don’t matter? That they don’t add up? It’s not true! They do! So lets all start today shall we?

The experts say that it’s easiest to start a new healthy habit with some outside help. Don’t try to go it alone. A friend, a trainer or an online coach like Chad can help you to hold yourself accountable and to get the results that you’re looking for. Wether it’s to lose a few pounds, tone up or just to get your insides as healthy as they can be, you’ll need some support and a plan. I use my calendar to set up dates with my running shoes so I can see it in writing and see where it fits into my schedule each day. It’s amazing to me to see exactly where I do have time to fit it in… when I would normally be watching Real Housewives I can go for a walk, I could actually be getting healthier instead of dumber, who knew?!

So, I’ll be making a plan to get out there and be active at least 3 days a week. What’s your plan this week?
